Lulu Blush – the drink that makes your afternoon feel like a moment.
We didn't plan for this Lulu Blush to happen. It just... did. One French press of Lulu, some cream, a dash of pink — and suddenly your 3pm looked a lot more interesting.
No caffeine. No crash. Just vibes, cardamom, and a cloud of pink foam that honestly deserves its own photo shoot. (We see you already reaching for your phone.)
What you need
Serves 1
1 heaped tbsp Lulu, brewed strong in the French press
A big handful of ice cubes
100 ml oat milk (or regular milk — you do you)
3–4 tbsp whipping cream, plant-based or dairy
1–2 tsp maple syrup
1 small pinch of ground cardamom
A drop or two of pink food coloring
How to make it
1. Brew your Lulu. Add 1 heaped tablespoon of Lulu to your French press, pour over 150 ml of hot water (around 90°C), let it steep for 4 minutes, then press. Brew it strong — it's going iced.
2. Build the base. Fill a tall glass with ice. Pour in your oat milk, then slowly pour the brewed Lulu over the top. Watch it layer. It's a whole thing.
3. Make the Lulu Blush. Whip the cream until it's soft and fluffy — not stiff, just cloud-like. Mix in maple syrup, a tiny pinch of cardamom, and your pink food coloring. Taste. Adjust. It should feel like a tiny luxury.
4. Crown it. Spoon the Lulu Blush generously on top of your drink. Don't be shy. Add a glass straw, a little extra pinch of cardamom, and that's it.
5. Drink it slowly. Or fast. No judgment. But slowly is better here.
A few notes from Lulu
- The cardamom is quiet in this drink — barely there, but you'd miss it if it wasn't. Don't skip it.
- Oat milk gives the base a slightly sweeter, creamier feel. Both work great.
- You can make the Lulu Blush with coconut cream too — it whips beautifully and adds a tiny tropical hint.
- Caffeine-free and full of good stuff. Drink it at 8am or 10pm. Lulu doesn't care about time.
- Enjoy!
